The “Ramadan Diet”: Five Ways to Really Get Fit

With Ramadan just around the corner, I’m hearing more and more people say, “I can’t wait until Ramadan so I can lose weight.”

But if you’ve ever fasted in Ramadan before, you know what a fantasy this is. 

When a person fasts, their metabolism slows down, making it potentially more difficult to lose weight. So putting all your hopes on Ramadan to help you get fit and trim is only going to set you up for disappointment if you don’t prepare properly. Want to make this Ramadan a healthy one? Set goals and stick to them.



Here are five tips to a hearty Ramadan:

(1) Stick to healthy food choices at iftar time
Spent all day dreaming about that juicy cheeseburger and chocolate sundae you’re going to indulge in after sunset? Forget it. While you may think you deserve some high-calorie treats after almost a full day of fasting, you’re doing your body more harm than good. By the time iftar time comes around, you’re hungry, thirsty and probably ready to eat everything in sight. But sticking to healthier meal choices is one of the most effective ways to get fit in Ramadan.

(2) Portion control
Ramadan is all about learning self-control, right? Forcing yourself to accept a smaller portion size on your plate (rather than the mountain of food you may be used to piling on during Ramadan) goes a long way in establishing self-control and eating healthier. This will also help you avoid that horrible overly full feeling you get after stuffing yourself with three courses, and find yourself unable to move on the couch.

(3) Hydrate
Fasting or not, you still need your recommended 8-10 glasses of water per day. And even while you’re fasting during the day, your body continues to lose water. So make sure to drink plenty of water before dawn and after sunset to stay hydrated. Dehydration can cause dizziness, headaches, lethargy, muscle cramps, and even fainting so remembering to stay hydrated is extremely important in Ramadan. This will also help you to avoid reaching for the not-so-healthy, high-calorie, sugary drinks, like sodas.

(4) Keep up your exercise routine
Or if you don’t have a routine, start one. While I don’t recommend committing to high-energy workouts while you’re fasting, try getting in some cardio and strength training during your non-fasting time of the day. Maybe, say, after Taraweeh prayer? Just remember to stay hydrated during this time!

(5) Don’t skip Suhoor
Yep, I’m going to have to insist on the “breakfast is the most important meal of the day” speech. Eating Suhoor will help minimize dizziness, the lack of energy, and cravings during the day. You just have to eat a balanced Suhoor—this means including sugar, carbohydrates, fat and protein into your early morning meal. All of these components will give your body energy to function during the day and curb your hunger.

Broga Hill Trip ngan IP & DB gengstarz

Hahahahaha akhirnya..rajin jugak aku nk update pasal trip ni..apa2 pun layan gambar2 ni..gambar berterabur sikit..dh penat dh nk susun still gak berkejar-kejaran haha..

Kumpul kul 4 pagi, tunggu semua smp kul 4.30 baru leh gerak..biasa la semua liat nk bangun pagi kan?

Sampai kt Petronas Semenyih, semua pakat solat dan tunggu geng Ejad ngan Zack datang. Kul 6.30 pagi br start trekking ke puncak Broga. 

Apa2 pun trip ni selamat sampai dan balik.

Tunggu next trip ye kawan2..air terjun lak..kita camping kt sana..YESSSS!!!

Pejabat Facebook!

Siapa yang tiada akaun Facebook? Tua muda, adik kakak, mak ngan ayah pun bole dikatakan 80% ada akaun Facebook. Dan Facebook ni la yang dibuka setiap kali ON je PC or laptop tak kira di mana. Tapi pernah korang terpikir tentang dunia di sebalik tabir Facebook? Haaaa!!! lihatlah dunia nyata di pejabat Facebook.

Rasa dah nak meletoooppp!!


Aku benci dengan manusia yang selalu tunjuk dia bagus dari segala segi padahal dia memamg tak bagus pn dari segala segi tu..hampeh ada la huhuhu. Ini boleh membuatkan aku TENSIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!. 

Kesnya bermula bila bos aku terima Statement of Account dari company ABC Sdn Bhd. Dalam tu ada dinyatakan company tempat aku keja ni ada hutang. Bila aku cek balik dalam sistem dengan Payment Voucher semua dh ok maksudnya company tempat aku keja dh bayar semua..tapi yg menjadi kemusykilannya, company ABC tak pi clear pn cheque dia tu. So aku tny org lama yg tempat aku duduk skrg kiranya ex-staff walaupun dia dh kena reshuffle ke department lain.

Aku: akak!! tau tak pasal cheque company ABC Sdn Bhd ni..dh tny branch dia kata tak terima pn lgpn dh cek ngan bank statement mmg tak dak langsung.

Ex-staff: entah la..akak dh tak ingat, cuba tengok balik PV ngan buku cheque..akak dh tak ambik tau dah..alaaaaa try la cari sendiri tgk. (camni ka cara menolong???)

Aku: akak ni bos yg suruh cek balik..nanti saya lak yang kena. (hampeh)

Geram dan tension plak aku bila dia kata dh tak ambik tau..ish2..

Kesudahannya, memang silap EX-STAFF tu sbb dia but pekasam cheque tu tak antar kat branch..pas tu tak buat balik lak tu..kalau aku bgtau ni mst dia akan cakap "Ala apa susah, buat la balik cheque tu". Hahahaha senang la ckp, sapa yang nk kena sound dengan BOS..AKU TAU TAK!!!

Ibu Pakaikan Anak Baju Pemerintah Dunia

Nina Maria Kleivan mempunyai satu hobi memakaikan anak perempuannya baju-baju pemerintah diktator seluruh dunia. Dia berpendapat anaknya bagaikan batu putih dan berkemungkinan untuk menjadi apa-apa sahaja apabila dewasa nanti termasuk menjadi seperti pemerintah-pemerintah ini. Gunung Datuk ~Dah lama kot xnaik gunung~

Dah lama kot tak naik gunung..hampir 6 bulan..haha bg aku lama tu..last mendaki ni bulan 11 thn lepas tp hardcore nye la..kalau yg biasa2 ja ni new year ari tu naik berkelah..best gak ramai2 geng2 ARC naik berkelah sambut new year..
